Yesss, here I am again.
I made things.
Here’s a list!
* An Astoria Sweater (pattern of Seamwork Magazine). This was my entry for Corrine’s Big Christmas Jumper Sewalong. I screenprinted the fabric with the BobbinHood kit.
* A Grainline Studio Driftless Cardigan. Made from thick wool with a winter pattern (snowflakes! reindeers!) <3
* A waterproof wintercoat. Pattern is the Waverjacket of Papercut Patterns. A year ago i made my (really wearable) muslin, and i thought it was time to make the “real thing”. And of course I made some changes!
I omitted the lining (the softshell fabric is already quiet warm and has a nice fleece inside) and finished the seams with pink binding. I redrafted the collar, so it’s higher. I made flaps for the pockets and you can put you hands in from the sides (if you want to protect them from cold or just need to put them somewhere).
Over all: it’s not just a raincoat, it’s a warm waterproof wintercoat. Woohoo! That’s a win in my book.
* And you can see my other last make of 2017: the Jersey dress a FREE pattern of In the Folds for Peppermint magazine. I made it from sweater fabric. SO COZY!
I Made a size 10 but could have sized down: i had to take in the sideseams from shoulder to pockets. YES, a wearable blanket with pockets. Total winner!
