Long live the Instragram community! Through the Monetaparty I “met” Linda (@Listokap on Instagram).
She made a gorgeous Monetadress with hand stamped fabric (yes i LOVED the handstamped part)
After she found out I lived in Haarlem, she told me she spends her vacations in Zandvoort, a place really nearby.
So we decided to meet up! A couple of weeks ago she was visiting Zandvoort, and that weekend there was also a big fabric market at Leiden. So Freya, Linda and I went to the fabric market!
It was a wonderful morning and we all went home with a LOT of nice fabrics. (HA!) Of course I didnt make any pictures.. I should have, but I totally forgot.
But now my first make with one of the fabrics I bought from the Leiden Fabric Market.
It’s a sweatshirt fabric from Qjutie Kids. (yep. I make adult clothing from children fabric).
The reverse side is fleece-like, and the right side is a melange of grey with “patch” flowers.
I made a Grainline Studio Linden Sweatshirt. Size 6, but I think I need to size down, because afterwards I took from both side seams 1 cm. Now it’s not too roomy, but still really comfortable.
Now for some pictures:
